Laci Jordan x Hibbett Sports

New year, new me, new opportunities. I’m EXTREMELY excited to kick off the year with a partnership alert (DJ Khaled voice of course). I’m officially an influencer for Hibbett Sports!

If you’re reading this like “what’s a Hibbett?” let me educate you. Hibbett Sports is headquarted in Birmingham, AL and has over 1,000 stores. Until last year, they had brick and mortar stores exclusively, but now they have a website – their launch calendar is one of the best. This partnership is so authentic to me because I’m from the south (Alabama for your newbies), and I actually grew going to the Hibbett in Madison Square Mall in Huntsville. It’s a brand my bank account and I are no stranger to.

Partnering with an athletic company in a way that feels authentic and natural has been on my goal list for a while. Having one that ties into my southern roots never even crossed my mind. To be completely transparent claiming the title “influencer” is a little mind blowing to me. I’ve always figured I needed 100k followers or be validated by a “gate keeper”. Let me be a reminder (and a little cliché) and tell you that anything is possible. You don’t need to have a certain number of followers, or have a certain aesthetic to get into certain doors. “If you build it, they will come” is one of my favorite quotes because it’s absolutely true. Put out what you want in the universe and work hard for it (please don’t skip the hard work part).

Before I end if you’re reading this and think “well I’m not in the south” Hibbett has stores in 33 states nationwide and again, an  e-comm site. For all you Yeezy shoppers (not me because the way my account is set up) they carry Yeezy’s and every other mainstream shoe you can think of – and no, I wasn’t required to say that, I’m just trying to get y’all another sneaker outlet…. You’re welcome lol!

This is my first “streetwear” partnership and I’m sure it won’t be the last. I’m claiming that 2018 is going to be unbelievable. I have a feeling seeds that I’ve been watering for a while will go into fruition this year – Let the church say, AMEN!
