Stay Woke: Gabby Douglas

Today is super busy, so I'm keeping this post short.  I mean.... to be honest I'm only here to make you aware anyway, not give a history lesson lol! But any who, Day 5 goes to the incredible Gabby Douglas. Gabby is the first African American woman in Olympic history to become the individual all-around champion, and the first American gymnast to win gold in both the individual all-around and team competitions at the same Olympics as well as being the only American all-around champion to win multiple gold medals in a single Olympic Game. She is also the first female reigning Olympic all-around champion to return to the World Championships and medal in the all-around since 1981. AKA she's the shit and its nothing anyone can do about it! 

When researching Gabby I ran across her amazing website and this video (see below). I seriously got chill bumps when I watched it. Not only is she a phemominal athlete but she's aware that she can do anything in this world and nothing can stop her.  It can sometimes take people years to gain that amount of faith and confidence, and unfortnatly some people never have it. Design wise I chose yellow because its her fav color and its also bright and full of spirit. I wanted a photo that showed Gabby happy, inspiring, and a champion. She's the best. Actually..
