Stay Woke: Freedom's Journal

Happy Friday! I couldn't wait for this day to be here and I'm currently located in my bed next to bottle.......yes bottle of wine. For today I'm going with Freedom's Journal, the first black owned and operated newspaper in the United States. The paper was created March 16, 1827, which is the same year that slavery was abolished in New York State (where the paper was founded) For more information on the Freedom's Journey click here.
